Laboratory Technician / Clinical Lab Assistant

Job Description

The Laboratory Technician / Clinical Lab Assistant provides laboratory testing and diagnostic support to the onboard medical team. This role ensures timely and accurate results for patient care, assisting doctors and nurses in diagnosing and monitoring medical conditions for both passengers and crew. Key Responsibilities Collect, prepare, and process biological samples (blood, urine, swabs, etc.) for analysis Perform routine laboratory tests and basic diagnostic procedures under supervision Maintain laboratory equipment, instruments, and testing areas in clean and safe condition Record and report test results accurately to medical staff Monitor inventory of laboratory supplies and ensure proper storage of reagents and samples Follow all hygiene, safety, and infection control protocols in the lab Assist medical staff with sample collection and patient preparation Participate in quality control and calibration of lab instruments Support emergency medical situations by providing lab assistance as needed Maintain accurate documentation and confidentiality of all laboratory data
