Nurse Assistant / Healthcare Assistant

Job Description

The Nurse Assistant / Healthcare Assistant provides support to the onboard medical team by assisting with patient care, monitoring health conditions, and ensuring a safe and hygienic medical environment. This role is essential for helping the medical staff deliver high-quality healthcare services to passengers and crew. Key Responsibilities Assist nurses and doctors in providing patient care, including basic medical procedures Monitor and record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, etc.) Prepare treatment areas and maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards Assist with administering medications under supervision Help transport patients within the ship’s medical facilities when needed Provide support to patients with mobility, personal hygiene, and comfort Maintain accurate patient records and report changes in condition to medical staff Ensure medical equipment is cleaned, sanitized, and properly stored Participate in emergency drills and assist during onboard medical emergencies Support health and safety initiatives, infection control, and emergency protocols
