The IT Support / Network Technician is responsible for maintaining the ship’s IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless network connectivity, and providing technical support to both crew and guests. This role supports all onboard IT systems, including computers, servers, telecommunications, and guest internet services, to ensure operational efficiency and a positive onboard experience. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain onboard computer systems, networks, and peripheral devices Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues for crew and guest systems Monitor network performance and ensure connectivity for operational and guest services Maintain servers, routers, switches, and other network equipment Provide IT support and training to crew members on software and systems Assist in managing guest Wi-Fi and onboard internet services Implement and enforce IT security protocols and best practices Maintain documentation of IT infrastructure, issues, and resolutions Coordinate with shore-based IT teams for system updates, backups, and technical support Participate in emergency drills and ensure IT systems comply with safety protocols
